Ms. Christine A. Zimmerman, 64, of Dallas City passed away at 8:17 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at her home.

She was born March 1, 1949 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of George F. And Thelma C. Tommy Barker Clifton.

Christine was a 1967 graduate of the Dallas City High School. She worked as a CNA in home health care, working for Mobile Nursing of Ft. Madison. She also worked for the New London Care Center, Danville Care Center and most recently at the Gilpin Home in Dallas City. Chris Enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of ABATE of Illinois. She also liked training horses as well as barrel racing.

Ms. Zimmerman is survived by her special friend and companion, Keith Martens, two daughters, Tonya (Chip) Chance of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Wendy Prough of Dallas City, three grandchildren, Mark Krugle of Wever, IA, Chad Krugle of Burlington, and Justin Prough of Mt. Pleasant, and one brother, Mitchell Clifton of Carrollton, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and twin infant brothers, Michael and Mark Clifton.

Christine donated her body to the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Ikes Riverfront Tavern in Dallas City.
