Wilma Waneta White

, age 95 of Lomax, Illinois died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday October 20, 2009 in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was born April 6, 1914 in Hancock County, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Ollie Daugherty Luder. On June 30, 1935, she married Leonard Lawrence White in Carthage, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1995.

Wilma was a homemaker and had assisted her husband with a small engine repair business for several years. She had lived in Lomax for forty years. She was an avid bingo player, and a member of the Lomax Christian Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Margaret Rankin, of Lomax, Illinois, who has been her caregiver for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and two sisters.

The family and friends will gather at the Lomax Christian Church between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009, followed by a procession to the South Cemetery near Basco, Illinois, where graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. A memorial fund has been established for the Lomax Christian Church. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City is in charge of arrangements..
