William R. "Bill" Corzatt, age 79, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. He was born April 25, 1942 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Keith and Winifred Anderson Corzatt. On August 7, 1960, he married Rebecca Denly. They later divorced.

Bill was a graduate of Media High School, Media, Illinois. He farmed and raised livestock for many years in Henderson county. For several years, he was instrumental in caring for his brother Ronnie, during his battle with muscular dystrophy. He loved gardening, and sharing his produce with neighbors and friends. He enjoyed buying, selling, rebuilding, and tinkering with all types of machinery. Earlier in life he enjoyed racing go-karts. He enjoyed making his daily rounds, exercise walking at the grocery store, and visiting his friends at several local businesses. He will be missed.

Survivors include one son; Robert (Cheryl) Corzatt of Oquawka, IL, one daughter; Cathy (Bobby) Mayfield of Winchester, TN, three grandchildren; Andrea Nixon, Amy Linss, and Adam Corzatt, six great grandchildren; Noah, Paige, Taylor, Trey, Colt, and Dakota, and one sister; Angela Myers of Stronghurst. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Ronald Corzatt.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. Cremation rites will follow visitation, and graveside services will be held at Raritan Cemetery, Raritan, Illinois, at a later date. Memorials have been established for the Stronghurst Ambulance Service and Oakwood Estates Assisted Living Center.
