Wendy M. Thompson, age 79, of Kirkwood, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Princeton, WI. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 27, 1939, a daughter of Milton Schmidt and Gwendolyn (Lewis) Schmidt. Wendy graduated from the University of Missouri in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. On June 7, 1969, she married Rodger Thompson. Since 2012, she was "a retired" CPA living in Kirkwood, MO. Wendy loved gardening, birds and bird feeders. She was a member of various professional and business organizations and past President of the Business and Professional Women Organization of St. Charles, MO.

Wendy was the wife of Rodger Thompson of Kirkwood, MO; special mother of Gerald "JT" (Lynne) Thompson of Wentzville, MO, John (Cynthia) Thompson of Columbia, MO, Jim (Suzanne) Thompson of St. Charles, MO; special grandmother of Jaime Thompson (Daniel Hopkins), Jason (Dr. Lauren) Thompson; Michael, Jake, Miranda and Paige Thompson; Nicole (Richard) Moen, Joshua (Kristen) Thompson, Marshall Thompson, Desiree (Andrew) Statler; special great grandmother of Bennett; Athena, Olivia; Austin, Trevor; Allyson, Hillary, Cooper, Sophia; a sister of Douglas (Peggy) Schmidt of Sullivan, MO, Daniel (Kathy) Schmidt of Elgin, IL. Wendy is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara, Candice and Deborah; brother, Robert.

A visitation will be held in Wisconsin for Wendy M. Thompson on Wednesday, May, 30, 2018, from 5:00 -8:00 pm, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 Harvard St, in Princeton.

An additional visitation will be held in Illinois for Wendy M. Thompson on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 1:00- 3:00 pm, at Banks and Beals Funeral Home, 579 E. 3rd St., in Dallas City, IL. Following the visitation, there will be a graveside service at the Durham Cemetery in rural Dallas City, IL. Rodney Burr will conduct the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
