Mr. Wayne E. Anders, 71, of Mediapolis, Iowa, formerly of Burlington, Iowa passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 7:35 P.M. at the Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab in Mediapolis.

He was born on July 27, 1939, the son of William Andrew and Josephine McCurdy Anders.

Mr. Anders worked for Klein Mfg. for many years. He had resided at Prairie Ridge since October 2005.

He is survived by one sister, Marilyn Bonner of Phoenix, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Glen and Ray Anders and 2 sisters, Irene Purdy and Norma Jennings.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Illinois. Burial will be in the Terre Haute, Illinois Cemetery. There will be no formal family visitation, but friends are welcome to stop at the funeral home on Thursday between 10:00 AM and time of services.
