Mrs. Wanda Lee Driskell, 74, of Blandinsville, IL, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Woodland Park, CO.

She was born December 22, 1937 in Burnside, IL, the daughter of Lyle Ellsworth and Reva Hobart Woodside. On April 15, 1960 she married Donald Red Driskell, in Blandinsville.
Mrs. Driskell was a LaHarpe High School graduate. She later graduated from Western Illinois University with a BA Degree. She began her teaching career in Monmouth, IL and later taught in Ft. Green, IL and retired from the LaHarpe School District after teaching for 31 years. Wanda then worked part-time at the Alternative School in Macomb. She loved to travel, golf and attend her grandchildrens sporting events. She was a member of the local D.A.R.

Surviving are her husband, 2 sons, Roger (Lynn) Driskell of Springfield, IL and Ray Driskell of Carthage, IL, 6 grandchildren, Rachel Driskell, Tara Burke, Erin, Nick, Hayley and Brooke Driskell, her mother, Reva Woodside of Macomb, IL, 2 sisters, JoAnn (Don) Painter of Lewistown, IL and Karen (Jay) Smith of Grosse Ile, MI and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her father and 2 brothers, Alvin and Dean Woodside.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Blandinsville, with Pastor Gordon Blackenship officiating. Burial will be in the Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville. Friends may call after 3:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A memorial fund has been established for a scholarship in Wandas name.
