Virginia Lucille Philbrick

, 98 of Pahrump, Nevada, formerly of Stronghurst, Illinois died Sunday March 24, 2013 in Pahrump. She was born November 8, 1914 in Monmouth, Illinois,the daughter of Frank William and Ethel June Thomas Westerfield. She married Jack Philbrick in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1990.

Mrs. Philbrick lived most of her married life in Stronghurst. She had been employed at FormFit in Monmouth, Illinois, and later worked for a time at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was a member of the Stronghurst Christian Church. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and loved to play cards. She loved traveling with her husband and toured many states across the country, even up to Alaska and Hawaii. Her beloved dog, Snookie was a constant companion for many years. She was a kind, gentle spirit, who would never say a cross word to or about anyone.

Survivors include one daughter- Diane Strader of Pahrump, NV., one grandson- Gareth Strader, one brother- Byron Westerfield of Decatur, IL., and one sister - Barbara Ganshaw of Chicago, IL.
