Mrs. Vera L. Schenck Bozarth, 71, of Disco, Illinois passed away at 3:10 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Facility.

She was born December 31, 1939 in Lomax, Illinois the daughter of Floyd and Hilda Worley Todd. On May 15 1957 she married Russell Schenck. He died December 25, 1970. In June of 1983 she married Marvin Bozarth. He died in June of 1988.

Vera had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant and later retired from G.E. in Burlington, Iowa after 27 years of employment.

She is survived by 4 sons, Paul (Joanna) Schenck, David Schenck and Rocky Schenck all of Disco and Tod (Marlene) Schenck of Elkton, Maryland, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 4 sisters, Ellen Lowe of Rockford, Illinois, Bev Johnson, Debbie Detherage and Jane Stonger all of LaHarpe and 4 brothers, Robert Todd of Lomax, Ralph Todd and James Todd both of Terre Haute, Illinois and Tom Todd of LaHarpe.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, 1 son, Chris Schenck, 1 sister, Barbara McCoy and her parents.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Burial will be in the Crane Cemetery near Lomax, Illinois. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A memorial fund has established for the Shriners Hospital in Chicago.
