Sandra Hargrave Townsend

Sandra Louise Hargrave Townsend, age 65 of Stronghurst died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday August 18, 2011 in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was born April 2, 1946 in Pasadena, California, the daughter of Stephen and Geraldine Loletta Latta Hargrave. On September 28, 2004, she married Richard C. Townsend.

Mrs. Townsend worked as a waitress for many years.

Survivors include her husband of Knoxville, Illinois, children- Duane Hargrave of Arizona and Angela Albright of Vancouver, WA., two sisters - Carolyn Hargrave of Flagstaff, AZ., Cherokee Elliott of Redding, California, and one brother - Jerry Hargrave of Monrovia, California.

No Visitation is planned. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday August 19, 2011 in the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is in charge of arrangements.
