Mrs. Louise Thompson, 77, of Blandinsville, IL passed away at 4:00 AM Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe. She was born on February 21, 1935 in Fountain Green, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Nancy Breiner. She married C. Robert Brewer on September 8, 1951. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1976. On July 26, 1980 she married Ronald Thompson.
Louise is remembered as a hard worker. She farmed all her life, was an avid deer hunter and a constant cheerleader for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews sporting events. She actively attended the Sciota Christian Church. She loved church, gardening, traveling, reading, cooking, sewing and being with family and friends.
She is survived by husband Ronald, 3 daughters, Vicky Van Trump and Donna (Gary) Schroeder all of LaHarpe and Cheryl Boline of Colorado Springs, CO, 3 step-daughters, Ann (Dan) Moore of Macomb, IL, Jan (Ken) Shoemaker of Blandinsville and Sue (Phil) Wehrle of Bettendorf, IA, 10 grandchildren, Eric (Theresa), Erin (Terry), Stefanie, Kassandra, Zachary, Brooke, Kristyn, Caleb, Chelsea and Julia, 4 great-grandchildren, 12 sisters, Dorothy Plank, Pauline Jones, Virginia (Howard) Kerfoot and Wyvonne (Ike) Byers all of LaHarpe, Charlene Wilson of Good Hope, IL, Lucille (Edward) Luton and Deanna Truelove both of Blandinsville, Thelma(Donald) Figg of Aledo, IL, Patricia (Lewis) Huston of New Boston, IL, Marilyn (Pat) Cahill of Burlington, IA, Jo (Donald) Frye of Muscatine, IA and Joy Byers of Ottumwa, IA, 1 brother, Eugene Breiner of LaHarpe and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, parents and several brother-in-laws.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Lester Lock officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery, rural Blandinsville. Friends may call after 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sciota Christian Church or the Blandinsville Fire and Rescue.
