Thomas L. Myers, 59, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away Sunday March 10, 2019 at Unity Point Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois. He was born June 22, 1959 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Robert and Evelyn White Myers.

Tom was a graduate of Southern High School in Stronghurst and Southeastern Community College of Nursing in West Burlington, Iowa. He worked as a registered nurse for Grady Memorial in Atlanta, Georgia for many years and later retired from East Side Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. He moved back to Stronghurst in April of 2018. He enjoyed animals and bird watching.

Survivors include one brother, Rod (Laurie) Myers of LaHarpe, IL, one sister, Ramona (Bernie) Kremer of Louisville, KY, one sister in law, Angela Myers of Stronghurst, his special friend, Sheila Martin of Stronghurst, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Shirley Myers, and one brother, Terry Myers.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family.
