Theresia Bundy, 95, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 11:14 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois.

Theresia was born September 20, 1927 in Maastricht, Holland, the daughter of Medardus and Annette (McCeals) Voorjans. On May 22, 1946, she married Harold Bundy Sr., in Maastricht, where Harold was serving during World War II. He preceded her in death exactly 31 years prior on  May 11, 1992.

Following her marriage she returned to LaHarpe with Harold. She worked for a short time at the Lomax Canning Factory, Lomax, Illinois. She spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her four children. She enjoyed dancing, shopping and, in later years, playing bingo.

Survivors include two sons: Medardus (Tawnya) Bundy of LaHarpe and Avery (Kathy) Bundy of Oreana, Illinois; one daughter: Annette Cross of Fulton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Cory and Philmein both of Holland.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Harold "Sonny" Bundy Jr., one great-grandson: Cody Bundy; six sisters: Betsy, Caroline, Katie, Annie, Barb and Rita and one brother: Paul.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Pastor Nate McCarter officiating. No visitation is planned.

Banks & Beals Funeral Home of LaHarpe is assisting the family. A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
