Obituary

Thelma Annabel (Polhans) Palm, 91, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma.

She was born in Ferris, Illinois to Elmer and Thelma (Williams) Polhans on October 16, 1930. She was a graduate of Nauvoo High School Nauvoo, Illinois.  She married her best friend, John R. Palm on September 5, 1948.  He preceded her in death in 2018 just a few weeks before their 70th anniversary.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and a grandson.

Thelma is survived by three sons, John (Millie) Palm, David (Sue) Palm,  and Charles (Melody) Palm; three brothers, William (Barbara) Polhans, James (Elizabeth) Polhans and Henry (Kitty) Polhans; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Thelma worked as a proof reader and a bookkeeper.  She was an avid reader and sang at weddings and funerals for many years.  She was active with the Hancock County Illinois Home Extension after retirement.

A memorial graveside service, for both Thelma and John Palm, will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Meyers Cemetery, near Dallas City, Illinois.
