Tanya Lynn Bauer, 63, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Carman, Illinois, passed away at 9:53 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.

She was born August 20, 1960 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of John and Nola (Carper) Wardlow. Tanya was a graduate of Burlington High School. Tanya married Ora Robinson and had three beautiful daughters together. They later divorced. She then married Terry Bauer (Cape Coral, Florida) in Key West, Florida in 2015. He survives.

Tanya retired from the Henderson County Highway Department in Stronghurst, Illinois.

She has many fond memories with her Dugout Family, including bus trips to Chicago Cubs games. She also enjoyed spending time with her friend, Laura at the Casino. Tanya loved sitting on the beach and had the best tan ever. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Tanya is survived by her husband, Terry, three daughters: Starr (Leland) Sattler, Ciara (Brandon) Gibbs and Symone (Brad) McLaughlin; her mother: Nola; two siblings: Sheri Wardlow and Vince Wardlow, five granddaughters: Shelby, Emerson, Hadley, Kaylee and Ella; one grandson: Ethan and many nieces, nephews and ex-husband: Ora.

She was preceded in death by her father: John and one grandson: Drake.

Per her request, cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Tanya's life will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Machinists Hall in Middletown, Iowa.  Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family.
