Steven H. Henry, 65, of Stronghurst, IL passed away at 6:07 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. He was born on May 25, 1952, in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Gene and Helen Sherman Henry. He first married Pam Callaway. They later divorced. On December 6, 1997 he married Karen Lefler in Stronghurst

Steven lived in Stronghurst for the past 20 years. He was a heavy equipment operator for TIC of Colorado for many years, and most recently managed the Burlington Land Fill before retiring in 2011.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Scott (Lori) Henry of Pavillion, Wyoming, two step-children, Lori (Jeremy) Schultz of Clive, IA, Jaime (Adam) DeCrane of Raritan, IL, three grandchildren, Crista, Lane and Samuel Henry, four step-grandchildren, William and Anna Schultz and Colten and Paige DeCrane, one sister, Virgene Kilbride of Burlington, one brother, Rodney (Suzie) Henry of Burlington, step-father, Jim Schlicher of Burlington and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Raritan Reformed Church with Rev. Terry Muller officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Thursday until the time of service at the church. A memorial fund has been established for the Great River Hospice House.
