Mrs. Isabel Starbuck, 85, of Blandinsville, IL passed away at 4:15 PM Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL.

Isabel was born on May 9, 1930 in Henderson County, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Darthula Carter Petty. On January 11, 1947 she married Martin Starbuck in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1998.

Isabel, along with her husband and sons operated a corn shelling business for many years. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Starbuck cherished family activities. She was active in the former Blandinsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Tom (Connie) Starbuck of Macomb, IL, and Rod (Cindy) Starbuck of Blandinsville; one daughter, Karen (George) Hendricks of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her: husband, parents, one son, Rick, three brothers, Kenneth, Jack, and Sam Petty, two sisters, Margaret Boone, and Deanna Mershon.

A graveside service, with Mr. Bob Tillman officiating, will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville. A visitation will be held Thursday before the service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established.
