Mrs. Lucille Smith, 85, of Colusa, Illinois passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 1:20 A.M. at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.

She was born on July 25, 1925 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Era Smith Rodeffer. On June 19, 1943 she married Oliver Dutch Smith in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2007.

Lucille was a graduate of the Terre Haute, Illinois High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Colusa Elevator for many years.

She is survived by 2 sons, David Smith of Dallas City, Illinois and James W. Smith of Davis, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and 1 brother, James Pooch Rodeffer of Stronghurst, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 infant sister and 4 brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Illinois with Tony Newton officiating. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Monday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established for the PAWS Animal Shelter, Ft. Madison, Iowa or the LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center.
