Shelly R. Glendening, 68, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Shelly was born October 14, 1956 in Fontana, California. In 1975 she married Friend Glendening.

Shelly worked various jobs throughout her life; including waitressing and was most recently employed at Casey's in Nauvoo, Illinois. She will be remembered as a compassionate, but strong willed individual. She had a soft spot for animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, watching the river and keeping up with her shows: Blue Bloods and Law & Order.

Survivors include one son: Nicholas Glendening; four grandchildren: Quinn, Lilliana, Evie and Wyatt and two half siblings: Terry and Maria.

She was preceded in death by one son: Anthony Glendening.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.
