Samuel "Korey" Boone, 29, of Mount Sterling, Illinois, formerly of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home.

Korey was born February 10, 1993 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Paul and Teresa (Jones) Boone. On June 30, 2018 he married Sheli Stear in Rushville, Illinois.

Korey was a 2011 graduate of Illini West High School in Carthage, Illinois. He was currently employed as a fabricator for Timewell Drainage Products in Timewell, Illinois. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids.

Survivors include his wife: Sheli; two sons: Kable Boone at home and Ezra Boone of Bushnell, Illinois; one daughter: Lynlee Boone at home; his mother: Teresa Boone of LaHarpe; one brother: Kyle (Beth) Boone of Blandinsville, Illinois; two nephews: Ben and Lincoln Boone of Blandinsville; one niece: Gwen Boone of Blandinsville; his grandmother: Shirlene Jones of LaHarpe; one uncle: Terry Jones and one aunt: Joni Imthurn both of LaHarpe.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Glen Jones; one cousin: Zachary Jones; his father: Paul Boone and one aunt: Peggy Bundy.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating.
