Russell K. "Rusty" Petty, 54, of Dallas City, IL passed away at 8:09 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Rusty was born December 8, 1964 the son of Garry K. and Irene Scott Petty.

He worked as a truck driver for Langenbach Saw Mill, Shipley Construction and Feinbergs Metal. He enjoyed hunting, shooting guns, NASCAR, singing karaoke, cooking and especially spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge gun enthusiast and was a proud concealed carry permit holder.

Survivors include his mother, Irene of Dallas City, one sister, Jamie K. (Matt Wilhelm) Williams of Dallas City, his cousin, Michael Thomes who was like a son to Rusty, one niece, Rachel Wesely, special friends, Blaze and Kane Murfin, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Madison and Brayden Shaw and Brandon Buttz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garry, grandparents and brother-in-law, Buck Williams.

A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. The family receive friends from noon Saturday until time of services at Banks & Beals. Burial will be held at a later date in the Harris Cemetery, Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
