Mr. Roy E. DeJaynes, 80, of Macomb, IL, formerly of Blandinsville, IL passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 11:10 AM at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb, IL.

He was born September 19, 1931 in Bowen, IL, the son of Russell and Dorothy Crossland DeJaynes. On June 14, 1950 he married Rosalin Joan Martin in Plymouth, IL.

Mr. DeJaynes had worked as a truck driver for the former Vermillion Brothers in Keokuk, IA and farmed in the Blandinsville and LaHarpe areas for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Joan, 2 sons, Randy DeJaynes of Forsythe, IL and Roger DeJaynes of Blandinsville, 1 daughter, Rhonda DeJaynes of Santa Rosa, CA, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Charles F. DeJaynes of Dallas City and 1 sister, Barbara Ann Hamrick of Augusta, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, IL with Rev. Arthur Fox officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established for Parkinsons Research or the MDH Hospice.
