Obituary

Ronda Kay Berlett, 65, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

Ronda was born March 7, 1959 in Lincoln, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Naomi (Johnson) Veff. On December 17, 1977 she married Duane Berlett in LaHarpe. They later divorced.

Ronda was a 1977 graduate of LaHarpe High School. She attended Robert Morris College in Carthage, Illinois, where she received her medical assistant degree. She worked as a medical assistant at Memorial Hospital in Carthage and MDH in Macomb. She also worked for the Hancock County Assessors Office.

She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren; especially following their sports and car races. She was a member of the LaHarpe Christian Church.

Survivors include her mother: Naomi; two sons: Seth (April) Berlett of LaHarpe and Brent (Christine) Berlett of Fort Madison, Iowa, two grandchildren: Alexa and Stefan and two sisters: Melanie (Rick) Quigle of LaHarpe and Jeannie Humphrey of Fort Madison.

She was preceded in death by her father and a special grandmother: Viola Yeazle.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. No service is planned following visitation.
