Roger Lee Wolford, age 55 of R.R. 1, Stronghurst, Illinois died at 8:40 P.M. Wednesday January 3, 2007 at his home. He was born May 4, 1951 in Henderson County, the son of William Newt and Frances Mae Flood Wolford.

Roger was a graduate of Stronghurst High School. He was currently a Project Foreman for Carl A. Nelson Company of Burlington. He was an active 4-H leader, and raised horses. He was a member of the 1st Assembly of God Church of Burlington.

Survivors include one son- Roger Wolford of Pekin, Illinois, 2 grandsons- Benjamin Hart Wolford and Seth Alexander Wolford, and his mother- Frances Wolford of rural Stronghurst. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother- William N. Billy Wolford, and one sister - Kathleen Swank.

Private graveside committal will be Friday in the Olena Cemetery near Stronghurst. A public memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 6, 2007 in the Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst with Rev. Kendall Hetrick officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Henderson County 4-H Organization.
