Roger Alan Putnam, 68, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois.

Roger was born on March 5, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Raymond O. and Betty (Davenport) Putnam. On June 29, 1977 he married Doris Austin in Rockford. She survives.

Roger was proud Veteran of the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of the LaHarpe Christian Church. He enjoyed umpiring baseball games for LaHarpe Summer Baseball League.

Survivors include his wife: Doris; five daughters: Marsha (Doug Lovell) Putnam of Blandinsville, Illinois, Stephanie (Don) Herriman of Dallas City, Illinois, Kimberly Putnam of Goodman, Missouri, Jena Putnam and Olivea Putnam both at home; three grandchildren: Douglas, Marisa and Kyle. Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson: Dru Alan Lovell and one sister.

A private graveside service, with Military Rites, will be held.
