Obituary

ROGER D. FARQUHAR

Mr. , 43, of rural Dallas City, IL died Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Conesville, IA.

He was born June 17, 1968 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of James and Jean Black Farquhar.

He was a 1986 graduate of Southern High School in Stronghurst, IL. He then served in the U.S. Army. Following his military service he attended WIU where he earned a bachelors degree. He worked as an engineer for Duggan Associates. He traveled all over the world with his work. He was a member of the Lomax Saddle Club and the Lomax Haunted House Club. He loved to hunt, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and scuba dive. Also, he was a member of the WIU Alumni, N.R.A., and the D.A.V.

He is survived by his fianc, Sherry Gregoire, of rural Dallas City and her children, Kameron Gregoire and Amanda Bratz, both of rural Dallas City, and Elizabeth Myers of Virginia, his father James Farquhar of rural Dallas City, his mother and step-father, Jean and Fritz Timmerman of Carman, IL, his brother Corry Timmerman of Carman, one nephew Jackson Timmerman of Carman and a close friend Jamie Stevenson of Burlington, Iowa. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents.

Services for Roger will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 1, 2012, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Jim Lange officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be held at Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. Friends may call after 3:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A memorial has established for the Lomax Saddle Club.
