Mr. Rodney Wayne Kershner, 52, of Lomax, IL passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his daughters home in McNabb, IL.

He was born on December 20, 1960 in Fort Madison, IA the son of Paul and Gloria McMahon Kershner. On September 8, 1984 he married Carol Webb.

Rodney was a 1979 Dallas City High School graduate. He was well known for raising Pit Bull Terriers. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of McNabb, IL, parents Paul and Gloria Kershner of Lomax, IL, 1 daughter, Melissa Powers of McNabb, IL, 2 grandsons, Gabriel and Gavin Kershner, 1 brother, Bradley Kershner of Lomax and 1 sister, Sheryl Almaguer of Monmouth, IL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and 1 brother, Todd Kershner.

Services will be held at 10:00a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. John Bremer officiating. Burial will be held at Crane Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
