Mr. Robert Owsley, 68, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 11:50 AM Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.

He was born February 20, 1950 in LaHarpe, the son of Hollis and Alvena Heins Owsley.

Robert worked at J.I. Case Co for many years and also farmed near LaHarpe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, frying fish, attending auctions and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by one daughter, Hollie (Mike) Gebhardt of Burlington, IA, two sons, Bret (Allison) Owsley of Rubicon, WI and Shane (Michelle) Owsley of Carlinville, IL, 6 grandchildren, Tanner, Trenton, Tyler, Riley, Laney and Caleigh, one sister, Elma (Gene) Hobby of rural Stronghurst, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard and two sisters, Margaret and Ann.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Jim Clayton officiating. Masonic rites will be held at 4:30 PM Monday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe where the family will meet with friends from 5:00 until 7:00PM Monday.
