Robert W. "Bobby" Phillips

Mr. Robert W. "Bobby" Phillips, 81, of rural Dallas City, IL passed away at9:55PMThursday, February 21, 2013 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe, IL.
Bobby was born near Fountain Green, IL on October 29, 1931 the son of Wyatt and Helen Reed Phillips.
He served in the Air Force from 1952 until 1956. He worked at IAAP in Middletown, IA. He also worked construction and was a commercial fisherman. After retiring he worked part-time at the Walker and later the M&M Fish Market in Dallas City. Bobby was an avid hunter, especially deer and turkey, and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include 1 sister, Rosalie Haddix of Blandinsville, IL, 1 brother, Joe Phillips of Macomb, IL, 7 nephews and 3 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Lula Phillips, 3 sisters, Ruby Robbins, Virginia Hainline and Peggy Shelts, 1 bother, Russell Phillips, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Friends may call Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 3:00 until 8:00PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Pastor Don Riley officiating. A memorial has been established for the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
