Donna M. Reeder

Mrs. Donna M. Reeder, 78, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 1:40 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center. She was born on June 14, 1937 in LaHarpe, the daughter of Leland Mike and Louise E. Jones White. On September 2, 1956 Donna Married Carl Reeder in LaHarpe.

Earlier in life Donna attended Browns Business College in Peoria, IL. She worked as a bookkeeper for numerous businesses, including: Koehlers in the Quad Cities, Younkers, Sears, and the bank in LaHarpe. She was also a substitute aide for the LaHarpe School District. She and her husband attended the Burnside Christian Church. She was a member of the LaHarpe Historical Society as well as the American Legion Auxiliary.

Donna is survived by her husband, Carl; three sons: Byron (Julie) Reeder of Independence, IA, Mark (Faith) Reeder of Woodstock, GA, Mike (Tammy) Reeder of Grimes, IA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons; and one sister: Judy (Larry) Hobby of LaHarpe.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2015 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Pastor Mark Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 3:00 until 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MDH Hospice.
