Randy Lee Jones, 65, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 7:08 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL. He was born on July 28, 1949 in LaHarpe, the son of Bobby D. And Pauline Breiner Jones. On June 8, 1969 he married Chris Killip, they later divorced.

Randy was a 1968 graduate of the LaHarpe High School. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1971. Mr. Jones worked at LaHarpe Feed and Grain. He later owned and operated a body shop and lastly owned the Easy Street Pub in LaHarpe. He was a member of the LaHarpe American Legion. Randy was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

Randy is survived by one daughter, Lexie Huffman of Hamilton, IL, one grandson Harry Huffman, his mother, Pauline Jones of LaHarpe, and three brothers, Jerry, Lynn, and Blaine Jones, all of LaHarpe.

He was preceded in death by his father.

As per Randys wishes, his body has been donated to the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. A celebration of life, with a light meal, will be held on December 5, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Annex in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established for his grandsons education.
