Phillip E. Butler Sr., age 60, of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Sunday November 26, 2017 in Lomax, Illinois. He was born November 18, 1957 in Helena, Arkansas, the son of Jack and Frances DeGarrye Jones.

Mr. Butler was raised in DallasCity, Illinois and had lived in Donnellson for the past 28 years. He had worked for Shipley Construction Company and, most recently, for Mike Nelson Concrete & Paving Company for 27 years.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip Butler Jr, of Lomax, IL, Travis Hayes of Donnellson, IA, Tyler (Jesse) Butler of Donnellson, IA, two daughters, Tiana (Tyler) Kite of Farmington, IA, Tiffany Butler of Burlington, IA, six grandchildren, two sisters, Margie Strunk of Fort Madison, IA, Deanna (Greg) Ferrill of Dallas City, IL and one brother, Lloyd Jones of Disco, IL. He was also a foster parent to many children.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration Of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday November 30, 2017 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Lomax Food Pantry.
