Paul Christopher "Chris" Carey, 64, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois.

Chris was born on November 7, 1955 the son of Paul Theodore and Barbara (Gillett) Carey.

Chris graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1973, where he excelled in football. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. Later Chris worked as a truck driver and most recently worked at NTN Bower in Macomb.

On December 31, 1980 he married Patti Lipcaman together they had three children: Miles Carey of Eldrid, Illinois, Wes Carey of LaHarpe and Anna Carey of Canton, Missouri. Also surviving is one sister, Dawn (Tom) Todd of LaHarpe; two brothers, Robbie Walker of Dallas City and Ryan Walker of LaHarpe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kelly Carey and one sister, Diane Carey.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Marvin Miller officiating.
