Patrick James Powers, age 50 of Dallas City, IL died at 4:45 a.m. June 28, 2014 at his home. He was born May 18, 1964 in New York, New York, the son of Alfred Joseph and Suzanne Elizabeth White Powers.

Patrick was a graduate of Dallas City High School and had worked for Hulls Towing Service for several years. Most recently, he was a towboat captain for the Ingram Barge Company.

Survivors include his fiancee, Susan Phillips of Dallas City, and two stepchildren, Nicholas and Jamie Ferguson, both of Dallas City. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his foster parents, Glenn and Mary Ellen Poulter.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2015 in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City . Memorials have been established for the Dallas City Boy Scouts and the Dallas City Food Pantry. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City is assisting with arrangements.
