Mrs. Patricia L. Jacobs, 90, of Dallas City, IL passed away at 9:10 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at her home.

She was born January 19, 1922 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Andrew Bernard and Martha Lemke Malmrose. On June 15, 1940 she married John Jacobs in Burlington Iowa.

Mrs. Jacobs was a 1940 graduate of the Galesburg, IL High School. She owned and operated Pats Tap in Dallas City for 14 years. She and her husband spent the winters in Brownsville, TX for 20 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons Ron (Jan) Jacobs of Hamilton, IL and Don (Karen) Jacobs of Arvada, CO, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and her granddaughter, Dena Kay.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City with Father Tony Trosley officiating. A rosary will be recited at 2:00 PM Sunday followed by visitation with the family until 4:00 PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dallas City Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
