Patricia Faye Brown, 69, of Dallas City, IL passed away at 8:31 AM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.

She was born April 18, 1943 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Howard and Lorene Brisby Kirchner. On May 3, 1969 she married Robert O. Brown in Wayland, MO. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2006.

She was a 1961 graduate of Revere, MO High School and graduated from beauty school in Quincy, IL in 1962. She and her husband owned and operated Browns Big Value Grocery Store in Dallas City for many years and they later owned and operated B & P Restaurant in Dallas City. She was a member of the Dallas City Lions Club.

Surviving are one son, Jerry (Jan) Brown of Dallas City, 6 grandchildren, Patrick Davis of Burlington, IA, Justin (Angela) Brown also of Burlington, Amber Scheeler, Christopher (Raina) Brown, Patricia and Robbie Brown all of Dallas City, 4 great-grandchildren, Ashton and Harley Brown, Jase Kinman and Sofia Gilbert, 2 brothers, Dick (Charlette) Kirchner and Ted Kirchner both of Kahoka, MO, her sister-in-law, Linda Kirchner of Danville, IA, several nieces and nephews and her special friends, Debra Brown and all the ladies from the First Christian Church and Grace Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 1 brother, Leroy Sonny Kirchner.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2012 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Pastor Will Fowler and Eldon Sparrow officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
