Martha O'Bryan

Martha OBryan, age 96 of Ottawa, Illinois, formerly of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 7:12 p.m. July 25, 2011 in the Pleasant View Nursing Center in Ottawa. She was born July 17, 1915 near Stronghurst, the daughter of William and Nellie Perry Long. On October 2, 1935, she married Richard OBryan. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. OBryan had worked as a waitress for several restaurants and a checkout clerk for several grocery stores. She had lived in Florida and Kentucky for many years, returning to Stronghurst in 1991. She moved to Ottawa in 2004. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Dade City, Florida.

Survivors include three grandchildren- Gamal Herbon of Murray, Utah, Tami Kudlauskas of Ottawa, Teri Hulteen of Frederick, Wisconsin, eight great grandchildren and one sister- Genevieve Carnes of Stronghurst. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters- Carol Rosalee OBryan and Lois Eileen OBryan, one granddaughter- Lori Miller, eight brothers and three sisters.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. No Visitation or services are planned. Burial will be in the Stronghurst Cemetery. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.banksandbeals.com
