Neoma Maxine Rucker Brandt, 101, of Sedona, Arizona passed away Friday December 4, 2020 at 2:10 PM at the assisted living facility Sedona Winds in Sedona, Arizona.

She was born May 19, 1919 in Oakland, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Eva (Taylor) Rucker. On August 27, 2938 she married Lyle Brandt in Kahoka, Missouri.

Neoma (Tillie) graduated from Terre Haute High School in 1938. She lived on the farm and helped with raising chickens, planted huge gardens for the family. She did canning of the garden and sewing for the family. The family moved to LaHarpe and Tillie worked for Dr. Myers as a dental assistant and Lyle worked for the railroad. After all four daughters were through high school they moved to Fort Madison where Lyle was closer to his work with the railroad. Tille continued to work at a dentist office in Fort Madison. They would travel and go to Arizona to visit Alice Barrons and Helen Myers. They eventually moved to Sun City, Arizona to be closer to Lyle's sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Majorie Johnson of San Juan Capistrano, California, Sharon (John) Mcgrew of Macomb, Illinois, Gloria Winterlin of Sedona, Arizona, three grandchildren, Mike Johnson, Eric (Lisa) Winterlin, Sherry (Jim) Huffman, eight great grandchildren, Jameson Johnson, Chet Johnson, Britanie Johnson, Christian Winterlin, Carter Winterlin, Nicole (Jared) Huffman Grant, Christopher Huffman, Cody Huffman, one sister Dorthey Eckhardt.

Neoma was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, three grandchildren, two sons in law, and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Illinois.

Banks & Beals Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial can be made to the charity of your choice. Neoma gave to the batter women's and children's organizations.
