Nancy A. Olson, 60, of Dallas City, IL passed away at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at OSF St. Marys Hospital in Galesburg, IL. She was born on March 11, 1955 in LaHarpe, IL the daughter of W.A. and Jean Anderson Olson.

Nancy was a teacher in the Dallas City School system for 28 years, retiring earlier this year. She was a graduate of Dallas City High School and Monmouth College. She had served on the Dallas City Park Board and also raised Standard Poodles. She enjoyed playing billiards and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dale Earnhardt Jr. She loved attending her grandchildrens sporting events.

Survivors include one daughter, Amber (Robbie Walker) Olson of Dallas City, her father, W.A. Olson of Dallas City, four grandchildren, Skyler Olson, Cory Squier, Maddie Lamb and Keagan Walker, one sister, Andrea (Rick) Wibbell of Dallas City, four brothers, Robert (Mary) Olson of Canton, NC, Raymond Olson of Dallas City, Stephen (Hope) Olson of Dallas City and Tom Olson of Ft. Madison, IA, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Olson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Ryan Olson officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for Sunbeam Corner of Dallas City, Dallas City Elementary School and the Dallas City Summer Ball Association.
