Nancy Jean Culp, 68, of LaHarpe, IL, formerly of Des Moines, IA passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 near Nauvoo, IL.

She was born August 24, 1946 in Fort Madison, IA, the daughter of William and Dorothy Breiner Plank. She married Dennis Culp in 1972. He preceded her in death in 2011.

She lived in the LaHarpe area in her early years and later moved to Galesburg, IL where she graduated from high school in 1965. Following graduation she moved to Des Moines where she worked as a receptionist and office manager for insurance companies. She was a member of the Nauvoo United Methodist Church.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Dorothy Plank of LaHarpe, her special friend, Harry Bollin of Nauvoo, one brother, Martin (Kenlyn) Plank of Sacremento, CA, one nephew, Tony (Katrina) Plank of Denver, CO and great nieces and nephew, Madison and Alex and Mackenzie and Katelyn. Also surviving are; Stephanie Plank, wife of the late Toby Plank, (Nancys nephew) and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father and her nephew, Toby Plank.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church with Mark Hendrickson officiating. Following the services, family and friends are invited to the churchs fellowship hall for refreshments and sharing of memories. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the LaHarpe Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Nauvoo United Methodist Church or the LaHarpe Fire Department.
