Everett K. Moore

Mr. Everett K. Moore, age 74, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 2:25 p.m. at his home.

He was born August 18, 1936 near LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of George A. and Grace Elizabeth Brown Moore. In October 1961 he married Sharon Burford. They later divorced. On June 17, 2005 he married Patsy Hulet Haines in Macomb.

Mr. Moore served in the US Army from 1959 - 1961. He worked for the TP & W Railroad, Bowers in Macomb and retired from Bedwell Farm Equipment in Bushnell, Illinois. He was a member of the Henderson County Old Timers, the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge and the Blandinsville Christian Church. He was a former member of the Tri-County Saddle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy, one son, Steve Moore of LaHarpe, one daughter, Kathy Boyer of Blandinsville, Illinois, 2 step-children, Kristine Gronewold of Macomb and Lonnie Haines of Azteca, New Mexico, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dean Moore of LaHarpe and Gene Moore of Oquawka, Illinois and one sister, Alice Mapes of LaHarpe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Boone.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Illinois, with Rev. John Simmons officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where Masonic Rites will be held at 6:00 P.M. followed by visitation with the family until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge or the MDH Hospice.
