Michael A. Watson, 71, of Dallas City, Illinois, formerly of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Mike was born November 4, 1954 in Fort Madison, the son of Michelle P. and Phyllis (Graham) Watson. On November 16, 1980 he married the love of his life, Joni Siemens.

He is survived by his wife, Joni, two children: Travis Watson and Stacy Watson of Dallas City, two grandchildren: Jaelyn Smith and Jase Watson; his father: Michelle Watson of Fort Madison, one brother: Greg (Julie) Watson of Fort Madison; one sister-in-law: Lisa Siemens of Niota; two brothers-in-law: Wesley (Sam) Siemens and Daren (Marilyn) Siemens all of Niota and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his mother; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Howard and Tina Menke, brother-in-law: Kevin Siemens and one niece: Sarah Herriman.

Mike was employed by Climax Molybdenum Company in Fort Madison for over 40 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, camping with the "Posse", tinkering in his garage and spending time with family. He was a past member of the Lamoine Valley ABATE. Mike had a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew him.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Moose Lodge in Fort Madison. .
