Michael E. Huss, 31, of Dallas City, IL passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home.

He was born September 18, 1982 in Burlington, IA, the son of Richard and Mary K. Herriman Huss Sr. On September 13, 2002 he married Cynthia Todd in Carthage, IL.

Michael was a 2000 graduate of Dallas City High School. He worked as a Boilermaker for Local #60 in Morton, IL. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his children.

He is survived by his wife, his parents of Dallas City, five children, Kataya, Derrick, Marissa, Bryar and Michaela Huss all of Dallas City, one sister, Teresa Ahlen of Fort Madison, IA, two brothers, Richard Huss Jr and Joshua Huss both of Dallas City and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will meet with friends Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. A celebration of Michaels life will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 1st at the family pond, next to his parents home 260 East 1st St., Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Contributions will be used to help those suffering with depression.
