Michael Allen Dooley, 49, of Dallas City, IL passed away at 12:25 PM, March 20, 2018 at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.
He was born on April 25, 1968 in Keokuk, IA the son of Leo J. And Joan M. Schneeberger Dooley. On February 13, 1991 he married Tara Gilpin. Together they had one son, Anthony. They later divorced.
Michael was a 1986 graduate of the Dallas City High School and then served in the Marine Reserves. He spent many years working as a truck driver and crane operator.
Michael is survived by his son, Anthony (Brittany Belville) Dooley of Colchester, IL, two brothers, David (Phyllis) Dooley of Dallas City, Roy Dooley of Pleasant Hill, IL, five sisters, Janet Strope of Kansas City, MO, Mary Schiedel of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Patty (Blaine Laws) Peterson of Montrose, IA, Sharon (David) Puckett of Sedalia, MO, Sandy Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, eighteen nieces and nephews, twenty-two great-nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncle and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew and two brother-in-laws.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established for the River of Life Church, Dallas City.
