Mrs. Mary Martha Wisslead, 76, of Stronghurst, IL, formerly of Raritan, IL passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 9:30 PM at the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst.
She was born January 17, 1936 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Charles and Edith Sutton Lawler. On September 4, 1954 she married Gary Lee Wisslead in Raritan. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1993.

She lived most of her married life near Raritan, IL. Mary was a member of the Raritan Fire Department Womens Auxiliary and assisted with the annual blood drive. She served as a volunteer at the LaMoine Christian Nursing Home in Roseville, IL. She was also a member of the Raritan Baptist Church and served as Sunday School Treasurer.
She is survived by 1 son , Steve (Eleanor Ann) Wisslead of Stronghurst, 3 daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Kline of Macomb, IL, Rosemary (Jim) Polarine of Millstadt, IL and Renee (Joel) Davison of Maquoketa, IA, her special friend, Darrall Themanson of Monmouth, IL, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters and a great-grandson due in June and 1 brother, Frank Lawler of Keokuk, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Raritan Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Ashton officiating. Burial will be in the Raritan Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 PM Tuesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established for the Raritan Baptist Church or the Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab Center.
