Mary R. Duffy's Obituary
Mary R. Duffy, 74, of Dallas City, IL died at 9:40am Thursday, July 25, 2019 at The Madison in Fort Madison, IA.
She was born October 14, 1944 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Lauerence and Beulah Kirby Kuntz. On July 31, 1965, she married Jerry W. Duffy in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.
Mrs. Duffy was a homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, collecting teddy bears, dolls and cookbooks. She was well known for her chocolate chip cookies.
Survivors include two sons, Rusty Duffy and Mike Duffy, both of Dallas City, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Katherine Woodard and two brothers, Paul and John Kuntz.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. August 10, 2019 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, with Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established for Lee County Hospice
