Mary Beth Dede, age 69, of Loraine, Illinois, passed away Thursday, September4, 2025 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.  She was born January 28, 1956, in Quincy, the daughter of Elmer and Dora (Derker) Bollman.  In 1974, she married Chester Dede Jr.  They later divorced.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorrie Ann Dede of Loraine, IL, Crystal Lea (Dennis) McMillen of Mendon, IL, four grandchildren, Coty and Quinton Steffen, and Melvin and Michael McMillen, four great grandchildren, Kaiden, Mason, Liliana, and Uriah Steffen, three brothers, Jeff (Julie) Bollman, John (Susan) Bollman, and David (Juliane) Bollman, one sister, Susan K. Bollman, three nephews, Shelby Bollman, Josh (Stephanie) Bollman, and Brady (Effie) Bollman, and one niece, Jackie Bollman.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a "Mom" to many, and always opened her heart to anyone in need. She was a hard worker, and was employed for many years at Methode Electronics in Carthage, IL.  After leaving Methode, she went to college and became a Licensed Practical Nurse when she was in her 50's.  She worked one, two and sometimes three jobs to raise her daughters. When not working, she loved spending time in her yard, tending her flowers and plants.

She will be in Heaven now, but the memories will remain with us all, especially the grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, and her "girls", Lorrie and Crystal.

A Celebration Of Life will be from Noon until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the First Congregational Church, 106 E.
