Mr. Martin F. Lebeck, 75, of LaHarpe, IL passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2:55 PM at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born February 3, 1937 in Henderson County, IL, the son of Eugene Victor and Gertrude Ethel Veff Lebeck.

Mr. Lebeck graduated from Terre Haute, IL High School in 1955. He worked on various farms in the area for most of his life. He also was custodian at LaHarpe School District for many years and was most recently employed by the City of LaHarpe. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, mushrooming and picking berries.

He is survived by 3 sons, Carl (Cheri) Lebeck of What Cheer, IA, Wayne (Stacy) Lebeck of Dallas City, IL and Ray Lebeck of LaHarpe, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-granddaughters and 1 sister, Ida Ruby Baldwin of Sedalia, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Frederick and Albert Lebeck, 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Pastor Jim Clayton officiating. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established. Condolences may be left at www.banksandbeals.com.
