Marta Beth Logan, 73, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 6:08 AM Monday, May 14, 2018 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.

Marta was born on July 14, 1944 in Burlington, IA the daughter of Merwyn and Margaret Behne Kimble. On August 14, 1963 she married Jan Logan. They later divorced.

Marta was a 1962 graduate of the Dallas City High School and later graduated from WIU. She worked as an elementary teacher in LaHarpe for 19 years. She was a member the LaHarpe P.E.O. Marta was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Burlington.

She is survived by her former husband, Jan, one son, Jon Logan of Chicago, IL, one daughter Jill (Jason) Stone of Olathe, KS, three grandchildren, Lauren, Nathan and Adam Stone, three brothers, Brad Kimble of St. Louis, MO, Martin Kimble of Peoria, IL, Mark Kimble of Fenton, MO, and one sister, Mary Kimble of Fort Madison, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marcia Forquer.

A P.E.O. and memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Rev. Bruce Goettsche will officiate the memorial service. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the services begin. A memorial fund has been established for the P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund and the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
