Mrs. Marjorie L. Weese, 80, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 12:20 P.M. at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

She was born in Dallas City on March 31, 1929, the daughter of Harold and Marjorie Knappenberger Gracey. She was first married to Glen McBride in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1959. On November 12, 1972 she married Robert Weese in Dallas City.

She was a graduate of the Dallas City High School and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City. She lived in Pickneyville, Illinois from 1975 - 1981 and Moberly Missouri from 1981 until returning to Dallas City in 1993.

Surviving are her husband, 2 daughters, Terri (Harold) Plunkett of Reno, Nevada and Patricia (Jim) French of Dallas City, 1 son Matt (Sue) McBride of Monticello, Illinois, 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, 3 sisters, 1 brother and her parents.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tony Trosley officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Lomax Ambulance Service.
