Marilyn Arlene Neff, 86, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 10:01 a.m. at the Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care in Galesburg, Illinois.
Marilyn was born on September 8, 1934 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Vera (Dye) Peterson.
Marilyn was a graduate of the Stronghurst High School. She worked as a nurses aide at the Mary Davier Hospital in LaHarpe for many years. She also raised birds and Pekingese dogs.
Marilyn was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She enjoyed reading, animals, gardening, flowers and bird watching.
Survivors include three daughters: Janet (Michael) Boyd of Burnside, Illinois, Jill (Greg) Dunham of LaHarpe and Joan Stevenson of Hamilton, Illinois; one son: Paul (Sheri) Neff of Blandinsville, Illinois; seven grandchildren: Michael (Maureen) Boyd and Jeff (Jamie) Boyd, Dana Butler, Beau (Cara) Dunham, Caleb (Terri) Long, Nicole (Brian) Lyles and Corey (Emily Hanger) Allen; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Stronghurst Cemetery, Stronghurst, Illinois. No visitation is planned.
